Aug 28, 2013 (newstodate): Who can withstand the temptations of the Bavarian Oktoberfest from September 21, 2013?
At least not the new Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica that has picked this date for launch of services on their new route connecting Vilnius and Munich, starting on September 21, 2013, with three weekly rotations.
Also new on the route map is a route between Vilnius and Prague to be launched on September 20, 2013, and served with four weekly rotations.
The opening of these new routes is facilitated by the delivery of the carrier's second aircraft, an Embraer 175 to be operated on a lease contract with Embraer's leasing arm, ECC Leasing.
In the fleet now is one Embraer E-170 aircraft on a wet-lease from Estonian Air until the end of 2015.
The airline intends to add three to four more aircraft to increase frequencies with the objective of serving a dozen European routes from Vilnius in three years.
