Aug 02, 2013 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo is pleased by the sustained positive trend in the penetration of e-bookings in the Nordic region.
-We may not exactly be in the lead position among the other European markets, but at least I am happy to see that we are clearly among the best, says Alexander Kohnen, Lufthansa Cargo Director Nordic and Baltic Countries.
-At the top as to proportion of e-bookings in the Nordic and Baltic region is Finland together with the Baltic countries, with 60 percent of the bookings now coming in electronically.
-Sweden comes close to 60 percent as well, Denmark has achieved 50 percent, and even in Norway the rate of e-bookings is now approaching 50 percent.
-For the region as an entity, the e-bookings rate is thus now 55 percent, and we expect to land at 60 percent by the end of 2013, and at 70 percent in 2014, says Mr Kohnen.
One year ago, the e-bookings rate in Finland passed 50 percent, Norway was trailing behind at about 33 percent, while 43 percent of the Danish bookings and 40 percent of the Swedish bookings were performed electronically.
