Aug 07, 2013 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is taking firm steps to bring its airline industry in line with international IATA requirements on air safety.
In July 2013, three airlines had their AOCs revoked as they failed to meet the requirements during the re-certification process.
Another five Kazakh airlines were also found to be deficient in meeting IATA's requirements and were given a specific period to prove that errors and snags have been corrected unless their AOCs would also be revoked.
The ongoing re-certification process comprises all airlines, aircraft maintenance providers and commercial aircraft registered in the country.
