Aug 29, 2013 (newstodate): Pratt & Whitney's engine maintenance and repair center in Norway has found a new owner and will re-open business with fresh capital.
The center at Stavanger Sola Airport that was formerly SAS' engine overhaul center was closed down a year ago, but according to a local media it has now been acquired by a Bahrain-based company Aerogulf, managed by Vijay Arumbakkam.
The company has its focus on CFM 56 engines that are widely used by Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 Family aircraft but a focus is also on engines on rotary-wing aircraft as widely used in Norway's off-shore industry.
