Aug 30, 2013 (newstodate): A German company has aired interest in building a new commercial airport in Ukraine.
The project builds on reconstruction of a former Soviet air force base at Lutsk, in northwestern Ukraine.
The German company Luft Express is reportedly interested in building a new 1,000 sq m terminal as well as undertaking the reconstruction of the airport's infrastructure including the renovation of the 1,600m runway.
The city of Lutsk has long sought means and a partnership to revitalize air transportation of passengers and cargo, earlier talking to a UK investment company Shanti Capital Ltd which, however, did not produce results.
