Aug 27, 2013 (newstodate): In July 2013, Emirates SkyCargo generated a total of 1,830 tonnes of export cargo in the Nordic region.
Only the Swedish market, however, saw sales increasing with a 25.3 percent, y-o-y, growth in volumes to 743 tonnes.
Starting from September 1, 2013, Emirates will introduce daily passenger aircraft flights from Dubai to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, while Emirates SkyCargo has been operating a three-times weekly Boeing 777F freighter service into Gothenburg Landvetter Airport since September 13, 2003.
In Denmark, Emirates' volumes were down by 14.5 percent, y-o-y, to 373 tonnes, in the Finnish market export volumes dropped 41.4 percent to a mere 70 tonnes, while Norway was the company's 2nd largest market in July with 614 tonnes, which was, however, still 10 percent down on July 2012.
In all four markets, Emirates SkyCargo sales is managed by its GSA, Scanpartners.
