Jul 22, 2013 (newstodate): Lithuania will again have a direct air link to Israel.
Starting from October 27, 2013, the low-cost carrier Wizz Air will launch flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv, offering two weekly rotations using airbus A320 aircraft on the route.
The routes has earlier been served on a seasonal basis by carriers including Middle East Airlines that leased a Lithuanian Airlines Boeing 737 and a YAK-42 from Lithuanian carrier Aurela to operate the flights for a period from 2003.
