Jul 30, 2013 (newstodate): The Polish carrier LOT has now taken delivery of its fifth Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The aircraft arrived in Poland early this morning, and this completes the first phase of the carrier's modernization of its long-haul aircraft fleet.
IN the next phase, the sixth Dreamliner will be delivered by March/April 2014, and the eighth and last aircraft ordered will join the fleet in 2015.
Europe's first operator of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, LOT saw its first Boeing 787 landing at its home base, Warsaw Airport on November 15, 2012.
Due to its deep financial crisis, the carrier will reportedly put two of these new deliveries up for lease, together with 15 of its current fleet of 30 Embraer regional aircraft.
