Jun 25, 2013 (newstodate): SAS has now made its decision in favor of Airbus for its future long-haul aircraft fleet.
The carrier has signed an MoU with Airbus for the acquisition of eight A350-900 XWB and four A330-300 aircraft as part of its strategy to modernize its fleet with more fuel-efficient aircraft.
The new Airbus A350-900 and A330-300 aircraft will join the airline's existing fleet of 30 Airbus aircraft comprising 19 A320 Family aircraft, four A330-300 and seven A340-300 aircraft.
Deliveries of the Airbus A350-900 XWB will commence by 2018.
