Jun 13, 2013 (newstodate): The new Polish full-charter and ACMI carrier Bingo Airways is planning for delivery of a fourth Airbus A320 aircraft before the end of this year.
Having launched flights on May 15, 2012, the carrier has developed according to its business plan, but the third Airbus aircraft, delivered in May 2013, was initially expected already in 2012.
-The market has been rather turbulent, so we decided to postpone the delivery of the third aircraft till this year when a fourth aircraft will also be taken in, says Marek Sidor, Bingo Airways CEO and founder.
-One aircraft is now based at Warsaw, another at Krakow, and the third at Wroclaw, but they actually operate also out of most other Polish airports as requested by our customers.
-We perform flights for Polish tour operators, but we would indeed be interested in adding ACMI operations as well. There are currently no contracts on the table, but ACMI operations would fit in well to balance the seasonal demands in the charter segment, says Mr Sidor.
