Jun 28, 2013 (newstodate): The era with Boeing 767 as the backbone of the Polish carrier LOT's long-haul fleet is coming to an end in 2013.
One Boeing 767-300 aircraft was phased out on June 27 after its last flight from Warsaw to New York, leaving only two similar aircraft with LOT.
One of these will then go by August, with the last remaining Boeing 767-300 to leave in October 2013.
After that, LOT's long-haul fleet will comprise five Boeing 787-8 aircraft, with the fifth aircraft to be delivered by mid-July, but the carrier has already put two of these new aircraft up for lease arrangements as it fights with increasing financial problems.
