Jun 27, 2013 (newstodate): The financial plights of the Polish carrier LOT are deepening and has again required the airline to seek government aid.
This latest request is, however, hardly to be approved as the EU Commission is already probing the legality of earlier state aid program to keep LOT in the air.
In the meantime, the carrier is cutting routes, staff and fleet and has now announced the end of services between Warsaw and Berlin from August 1, 2013.
