Jun 10, 2013 (newstodate): Iraq Airways is slowly re-building its routes network after a long lapse after the wars and fighting.
So far, the airline has launched flights from Baghdad to destinations including London, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Kuwait.
Latest additions include twice-weekly flights between Baghdad and Copenhagen, Denmark, starting from June 5, 2013, with Airbus A320 aircraft.
This is to be followed by opening of flights to Stockholm, in Sweden, Kuala Lumpur, and destinations in China.
The carrier plans to expand its network from currently 15 to 40 destinations by 2017.
