Jun 10, 2013 (newstodate): Icelandair Cargo is not exactly generous when it comes to insight into development of its cargo volumes.
The company published only over-all figures including ATK and RTK, measured in units of 1,000.
In May 2013, the company thus recorded an increase in 1,000 ATKs by eight percent, y-o-y, to 18,172, while RTKs, also measured in 1,000s, increased only by three percent to 8,947, indicating a significant drop in load factors.
Exactly the same figures are published for volumes in January-May 2013, indicating little success in growing the cargo business as far as volumes are concerned.
