Jun 03, 2013 (newstodate): A steep growth in export volumes secured a significant increase in cargo at Denmark's Billund Airport in May 2013.
The airport handled a total of 5,512 tonnes of cargo - up 14.1 percent, y-o-y.
Exports were up a healthy 33.6 percent, y-o-y, to 3,219 tonnes, while imports trailed behind, down 5.3 percent, y-o-y, to 2,293 tonnes.
After the first five months of this year, the total volumes thus managed to keep stable against 2012, with 25,361 tonnes and up 0.1 percent, y-o-y.
Exports have grown 13.8 percent to 14,300 tonnes, while imports are down 13.4 percent to 11,061 tonnes.
