Jun 19, 2013 (newstodate): Already the world's leading turboprop lessor, Denmark's Nordic Aviation Capital is to grow its portfolio of aircraft even further with a large new order, placed at the Paris Air Show.
NAC has placed an order with ATR for the acquisition of 90 ATR -600 aircraft, including 35 firm orders comprising 30 ATR 72-600 and five ATR 42-600 aircraft, as well as options for a further 55 aircraft.
NAC, which has signed several orders for new ATRs over the past three years, already has the largest fleet of ATR aircraft in the world with over hundred aircraft.
With the progressive arrival of the 30 additional ATR 72-600s and five ATR 42-600 into its fleet, NAC's ATR portfolio will exceed 150 aircraft by 2016.
Billund-based NAC's aircraft fleet currently comprises 180 aircraft of various types.
