Jun 21, 2013 (newstodate): The Czech charter and ACMI carrier Travel Service Airlines intends to add three new Boeing 737 MAX 8 to its fleet.
The carrier signed a LoI with Boeing at the Paris Air Show for delivery of three such aircraft. The LoI will be turned into a firm order after acquisition details have been finalized.
Travel Service was the first airline based in Central and Eastern Europe to fly the next-generation 737 and is now poised to become the first airline to operate the 737 MAX in the region.
The carrier and it subsidiaries currently operate a fleet comprising 27 Boeing 737-700 and -800 aircraft
