Jun 17, 2013 (newstodate): The global aircraft lessor Avalon is expecting the world's freighter fleet to grow by 900 aircraft between 2012 and 2032.
According to Avalon's estimates, the global freighter fleet will see the deliveries of 1,000 new all-freighter aircraft during the period, while another 1,700 converted freighters will also be delivered.
A total of 1,900 of the existing freighter aircraft will, however, be retired during the period, leaving the net growth at 900 freighters, taking the entire freighter fleet to a total of 2,800 by 2032 against 1,900 in 2012.
