May 1, 2013 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines is expanding and modernizing its aircraft fleet.
In March 2013, the airline expanded its fleet with a Boeing 737-500, and during April 2013 it took delivery of three Boeing 737-500 aircraft, one Boeing 737-300 and one Embraer E-190 aircraft, all on operations lease agreements.
Together with its airline partners, the carrier's fleet now comprises 26 Boeing aircraft and 1 Embraer E-190 aircraft.
The airline's short-term plan envisages an UIA fleet expansion with next generation aircraft: two Boeing 737-800 and yet another Embraer E-190 aircraft, due for delivery in May 2013.
