May 13, 2013 (newstodate): Turkmenistan Airlines has taken delivery of its first new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, arriving directly from the plant in Seattle.
This is the first of three Boeing 737-800 ordered, and all deliveries will be completed before the end of the year.
The carrier will allocate the new aircraft to serving routes from Ashgabat to destinations including London, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Minsk, Kiev, Moscow, Abu Dhabi, Delhi, Beijing, and Bangkok.
Already in the fleet of Turkmenistan Airlines are seven Boeing 717, three Boeing 737-300, five Boeing 737-700, two Boeing 757-200, and one Boeing 777-200LR, with two more such aircraft still to be delivered .
