May 16, 2013 (newstodate): Armenia will reportedly soon get a second air link to the Gulf Emirates.
The Sharjah-based low-cost carrier Air Arabia is planning to launch services between Yerevan and Sharjah in the near future using Airbus A320 aircraft, of which the carrier now operates a fleet of 33.
Already serving Armenia with Emirate connections is flydubai with four weekly rotations on the route between Yerevan and Dubai, and it has reportedly applied for permission to up this daily flights.
flydubai launched services on the route on November 21, 2010, with three weekly rotations using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
