May 02, 2013 (newstodate): The Slovak government has decided to seek a future for its Bratislava M. R. Stefanik Airport with a partner on a lease contract, according in Slovak media reports.
Plans for a future privatization of the airport emerged already in 2011.
After a tender, a consortium including consultants Deloitte and law firm Sullivan & Worcester has now landed a contract to act as adviser to the state along the process.
As an alternative, the state might also consider attracting an investor to take over the management and development of the airport for a 30-year period.
In 2012, the airport handled 1.4 mio passengers as well as 22,563 tonnes of cargo
