May 22, 2013 (newstodate): The Polish carrier LOT has now taken delivery of its third Boeing 787 Dreamliner that landed at Warsaw Chopin Airport on May 21.
After completion of the ongoing reconfiguration of the Lithium battery systems, the carrier plans to return the Boeing 787 fleet to commercial services from June 5, 2013, as the first European carrier to offer Dreamliner services.
LOT will have five Boeing 787 aircraft in the fleet by August 213, in time for the start of the coming winter schedule.
The new aircraft will initially serve the routes from Warsaw to New York, Toronto and Beijing.
LOT has placed orders for a total of eight aircraft of this type.
