Norwegian performed its first Transatlantic flight from Oslo to New York om May 31, 2013, now offering three weekly rotations on the route soon to be expanded to four weekly flights.
From November 29, Norwegian will next be offering daily flights between New York and Scandinavia.
Starting from today, May 31, 2013, Norwegian will also perform its first intercontinental flight from Stockholm to New York, while the first flight from Oslo to Bangkok will take place on Saturday, June 1,2013.
Norwegian will initially operate its long-haul routes with an Airbus A340-300 from the European leasing company HiFly, pending the delayed delivery of new Boeing 787 aircraft.
The carrier now expects to take delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner in late June and enter long-haul service in August.
Norwegian currently has eight Boeing 787 aircraft on order - three are slated for delivery in 2013, four will follow in 2014, and one in 2015.
