May 08, 2013 (newstodate): The project for a new carrier in Lithuania, Air Lituanica seems confident that it will still manage to get airborne by June 2013, already.
As one evidence in lack of more information from the company, the carrier has contracted the Lithuanian recruitment and HR company Peoplelink to seek applicants for cabin crew positions.
According to the ad, Air Lituanica aims at starting up by June 2013.
Air Lituanica earlier told newstodate that is expects to launch services by June or July, 2013, starting out with with two Embraer E-170 or E-175 aircraft on flights from Vilnius to six destinations.
However, as late as on April 6, 2013, newstodate spoke to Lithuania's CAA that informed that the lengthy process of issuing an AOC to Air Lituanica had still not been completed.
-At least, no airline should make plans for start of operations before the AOC has been granted, said Rytis Dulinskas, Lithuania CAA Flight Operations Division Deputy Head
