May 10, 2013 (newstodate): The Georgian carrier FlyGeorgia, based at Tbilisi Airport, has positioned itself in the fast lane for growth and route expansions.
The privately-owned carrier took delivery of its first Airbus A319 aircraft on July 28, 2012, and in the fleet are now two Airbus A319 and two Airbus A320 aircraft, with one more of each type on order for delivery before the end of this year.
On the route map by FlyGeorgia now are flights from Tbilisi to Dusseldorf, Brussels, Tehran, Erbil, Dubai and Kiev as well as charter operations to Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada and Cairo.
Plans are now on the table for adding flights also to London, Kuwait, Moscow, Stockholm, Frankfurt and Barcelona.
