May 15, 2013 (newstodate): With adamant optimism, plans for launch of Lithuania's coming new carrier Air Lituanica are advancing despite the fact that no license or AOC have yet been landed.
At a press conference on Tuesday, the carrier has announced start of services from Vilnius to Brussels from June 30, followed by launch of flights to Amsterdam by July 8, 2013.
Plans are to offer flights to Brussels five times per week, while Amsterdam will be served on a daily basis.
Air Lituanica will initially operate on Embraer 170 on a lease from Estonian Air, and one Embraer 175 from ECC Leasing.
On the route map for the near future are also flights to Berlin, Prague, Munich and Moscow.
