May 27, 2013 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jet time is again expanding its Boeing aircraft fleet - but so far for the summer season only.
Jet Time is taking in one Boeing 737-400, formerly operated by SAS, and the aircraft will primarily serve as a back-up for the fleet of six Boeing 737-700 and seven Boeing 737-300, two of which are in the QC version primarily used in passenger traffic during the busy summer seasons.
New in the fleet of Jet Time will also be four ATR 72-600 aircraft from the Danish turboprop leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital to serve on a contract with SAS for regional operations at Stockholm and Copenhagen, with two aircraft to be based at each station and starting from the coming winter 2013/14 schedules.
Jet Time and SAS is also negotiating an expansion of this contract to comprise another four similar turboprop aircraft for use on SAS' regional routes.
As soon as the final details are settled, Jet Time will place the new order with Nordic Aviation Capital.
