May 14, 2013 (newstodate): In a direct mailing, Swedavia has provided newstodate with figures on Swedish airports' cargo performance in Q1, 2013 - differing sharply from its own statistics published on Swedavia's website!
-Unfortunately, the automated updating of statistics on our website is not functioning correctly, but we are now working on a solution to avoid future confusion, says a Swedavia representative.
According to these latest data, generated directly on the basis of information provided to Swedavia by the operators, the joint cargo volumes at Swedavia's three leading cargo airport Stockholm Arlanda, Gothenburg Landvetter and Malmo Sturup Airport dropped 12.7 percent, y-o-y, in January-March 2013, to a total of 51,133 tonnes.
Volumes at Stockholm Arlanda Airport thus declined by 4.9 percent to 30,702 tonnes, volumes at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport were down 25 percent to 15,108 tonnes, and volumes at Malmo Sturup Airport were down 13.9 percent to 5,324 tonnes.
