May 30, 2013 (newstodate): The new Polish full-charter and ACMI carrier Bingo Airways has taken delivery of its third aircraft, completing its immediate fleet target.
The carrier's latest newcomer is an Airbus A320 formerly operated by the Italian carrier Meridiana and delivered on a lease agreement with the Japanese company MC Aviation Partners.
Based at Warsaw Chopin Airport, Bingo Airways was founded in November 2011 and launched flights on May 15, 2012.
Among the owners of the new carrier is Luxembourg-based Travel Holding International, and the CEO and founder of Bingo Airways is Marek Sidor, formerly serving as Malev COO as well as holding earlier positions with EuroLOT and LOT.
