May 29, 2013 (newstodate): The Belarus carrier Belavia has taken delivery of another Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
The latest addition to the fleet now comprising 24 aircraft is acquired on a lease contract with the German company DSF Aircraft Leasing.
The Boeing 737-300 aircraft, the sixth in the airline's fleet, will be used on both charter and scheduled flights.
By 2017, the airline plans to grow its fleet to 27 aircraft, adding three Boeing 737-800 and phasing out the three Tu-154 aircraft.
In 2012 the carrier transported 1,284,201 passengers and 1,697 tonnes of cargo and mail, which was 23.9 and seven percent up on 2011, respectively.
