May 15, 2013 (newstodate): Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport saw its cargo volumes down by 4.9 percent during the first four months of this year. But it remains confident of growth to return.
-We are looking forward to see Norwegian Cargo opening up for business on its European and intercontinental flights from Stockholm, says Ylva Arvidsson, Swedavia Director Cargo.
-We are confident that the introduction of Norwegian Cargo's capacity on the new routes to New York JFK and Bangkok starting from May 31 and June 20, respectively, will receive a strong response in the market, and we are also very much encouraged by Emirates' launch of daily flights between Stockholm and Dubai starting from September 4, 2013.
-Emirates' flight alone will add some 100 tonnes of fresh cargo capacity to the market alongside Emirates SkyCargo's three weekly freighter services at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, says Ms Arvidsson.
