May 17, 2013 (newstodate): While starting out on the financial basis of primarily public funds, the new Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica will still strive to find a strategic partner for future investments.
-83 percent of shares in Air Lituanica belong to Air Vilnius Group, funded by the Vilnius municipal budget, and 17 percent belong to Air Lituanica Club, a group of shareholders including private persons and companies, says Sandra Meskauskaite, Air Lituanica Communication Manager.
-As we know, one of the main goals of all shareholders remains to find a strategic partner. They are looking for this and negotiating, but we cannot comment further on this process as it is not Air Lituanica's object, solely working in accordance with the business plan.
-On the June 30, the first flight will start to Brussels with six weekly rotations. July 8 will see the start of our second route to Amsterdam with daily services, and during the following months from July we are planning to start flights to Berlin, Moscow, Prague, Munich.
-Next week we will have the audit of Civil Aviation Administration and after this we will get our AOC and commercial license to operate, says Ms Meskauskaite.
