Apr 12, 2013 (newstodate): The dust never settles on the rift between Swissport and Ukraine International Airlines over their collapsed airport handling JV, Swissport Ukraine.
After a Ukrainean court ruling, Swissport lost ownership in and control over Swissport Ukraine, calling this a result of "a successful hostile raider attack made possible by a flawed legal process led by UIA and its main shareholder Aron Mayberg".
Referring to the ruling, UIA will take over the 70.6 percent stake of Swissport Ukraine previously owned by Swissport International.
UIA will now call a press conference in Kiev to confront what it terms "Swissport International deliberately spreading false information that harm the reputation UIA and its shareholders".
At the conference, UIA says it will provide the media and the public with "accurate and truthful information about the corporate dispute between UIA and Swissport International".
The conference is scheduled for April 18, 2013, and participants will include representatives from Swissport International, the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, as well as representatives of Ukrainian and international media.
