Apr 24, 2013 (newstodate): The Tajik carrier Somon Air is soon to launch the first air services between Tajikistan and India.
Starting from May 2013, the carrier will offer up to 14 weekly flights to Delhi in India, expected to provide a significant boost to travel and trade between the two markets.
The privately-owned Tajik carrier is now managed by British national Lloyd Paxton, former CEO at Air Astana, and operates a fleet of six Boeing 737 of various types.
