Apr 16, 2013 (newstodate): Stockholm Arlanda Airport in Sweden will soon greet the arrival of a new wide-body operator.
Tehran-based Iranian carrier Iran Aseman Airlines will launch services on a route between Tehran and Stockholm from this summer.
The first flight is scheduled for May 2, 2013, and the carrier will offer two weekly rotations using Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
This will be the airline's first flight into Europe, having operated domestic, charter and regional flights in the Gulf region since its start in 1980.
In the fleet of Iran Aseman Airlines are 34 aircraft, including the single Airbus A330-300, are six ATR 72, six Boeing 727, and 20 Fokker 100 aircraft.
