Apr 18, 21013 (newstodate): In business only since June 2010, the Slovakian ACMI carrier Air Explore has grown consistently and have all aircraft flying on contracts till end of summer 2013.
-We have signed an ACMI contract with the Dutch carrier Arke Fly for wet lease of three Boeing 737 aircraft during the entire summer season, and one other Boeing 737 is operating on a lease contract with the Italian carrier Blue Panorama Airlines, also till the end of the summer schedule, says Martihn Stulajter, Air Explore CEO and co-owner.
-By winter 2013 we will hand back two Boeing 737 aircraft to the lessor, leaving two Boeing 737 with us. Plans are then to take in another two Boeing 737 from early 2014, securing us with a fleet of four aircraft.
-We are currently considering the Boeing 737-800 as our next type of aircraft, but other options are still open.
-We are indeed satisfied with our performance so far. The ACMI market is highly competitive, but if you have the capability to deliver opportunities are still open. Of course, summer seasons are our prime time while winter seasons remain difficult times for ACMI operators.
-Our focus remains on the ACMI market for passenger aircraft. So far we have no intentions of entering the QC or freighter market, says Mr Stulajter.
In the fleet now are three Boeing 737-400 and one Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
