Apr 02, 2013 (newstodate): The February 2013 IATA cargo statistics show that Singapore Airlines Cargo dropped from two out of three top-10 lists in the Scandinavian markets during the month.
In Denmark, Singapore Airlines Cargo was down 53.4 percent, y-o-y, to 166 tonnes, placing the company as #11, measured in volumes.
That was by far the most significant drop among the leading IATA carriers in the market that was over-all down 4.2 percent, y-o-y, to 5,815 tonnes.
SIA Cargo also dropped to a position as #11 in Sweden, with 247 tonnes, down 20.4 percent, y-o-y, in a market that dropped over-all by 9.8 percent to 7,221 tonnes in February 2013.
Only in Norway did SIA Cargo manage to retain a position on the Top-10 list, albeit down by 33 percent, y-o-y, to 315 tonnes, securing a ranking as #9.
Also the Norwegian market was down, however, by 11.3 percent in February 2013 that was short of one day, compared to the preceding year.
As for market shares, SIA Cargo held 2.9 percent in Denmark, 3.4 percent in Sweden and 4.5 percent in Norway's IATA export airfreight statistics.
