Apr 22, 2013 (newstodate): The Faroe Islands' carrier Atlantic Airways is to receive its second Airbus A319 aircraft this summer.
The airline has signed a dry-lease contract with Air Malta for one Airbus A319 to be operated during the summer peak starting May till October, 2013.
The addition of the second aircraft is driven by significant contraccts with tour operators including the Danish tour operator Atlantis Rejser, but it will also allow the carrier to expand its seasonal services for the market as well as charter and ACMI contracts.
Already announced in March 2013, the carrier will next add a third Airbus A319 by Q4, 2013
