Apr 30, 2013 (newstodate): In Ukraine, low-cost traffic is constantly increasing its share of the total air transportation market.
In 2011, low-cost traffic accounted for 7.6 percent of all passengers.
This proportion increased to 10.5 percent in 2012 - and during this year's Q1, the share had risen to 18.7 percent.
The country's only low-cost carrier is Wizz Air Ukraine that increased its market share by 2.9 percent, y-o-y, during this year's Q1, now accounting for 8.1 percent of all passengers in Ukraine.
Also the number of low-cost carriers active in the Ukrainian market is going up, with nine carriers in 2012 against seven in 2011 and only three in 2010.
