Apr 23, 2013 (newstodate): The Lithuanian-based charter and ACMI carrier Small Planet Airlines will take delivery of its first Airbus A320 aircraft next week.
The aircraft is an ex-Air Astana aircraft that will be placed with the Lithuanian company alongside two Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
The carrier's Polish subsidiary Small Planet Airlines Poland is already operating three Airbus A320 aircraft for charter and ACMI operations.
In January 2013, the carrier took in one ex-Air Astana Airbus A320 under a lease agreement with CIT, the second will follow by next week, and a further three will join the fleet until July 2013.
Small Planet Airlines recently completed a management buy-out after which the two carriers are now owned by Vytautas Kaikaris and Andrius Staniulis, constituting the current management of the company.
