Apr 25, 2013 (newstodate): Pending government approval, Wizz Air is planning for launch of a new route between Lithuania and Ukraine from summer.
Plans are to start services between Vilnius Airport, Lithuania, and Kiev in Ukraine from July 5, 2013, offering four weekly rotations.
Wizz Air opened its base at Vilnius Airport on April 17, 2011, and is now stationing two Airbus A320 aircraft at the airport operating flights on 14 routes to eight countries including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Ukraine.
Beginning from early June, the carrier will also start operations on two new routes from Vilnius to Norwegian destinations Alesund and Trondheim.
