Apr 10, 2013 (newstodate): Latvia is still seeking an international partner to invest in the country's national carrier airBaltic.
The country's Prime Minister is currently visiting Japan and has reportedly been in talks with both ANA and JAL to raise interest in stakes in airBaltic as well as potentials for launching air traffic between Latvia and Japan, as reported by the Minister's press secretary.
Besides regular or charter operations by Japanese carrier to Riga, talks have also focused on potentials for air cargo traffic with Riga Airport as a new European airfreight gateway.
