Apr 03, 2013 (newstodate): Denmark was the best-performing Nordic IATA airfreight market in February 2013 - but still down on last year.
A total of 5,815 tonnes of export air cargo was carried by IATA carriers, a decline by 4.2 percent, y-o-y.
Topping the list of IATA carriers in February was SAS Cargo with an increase in volumes by 21.9 percent, y-o-y, to 961 tonnes.
Second came KLM Cargo, 785 tonnes and down 2.2 percent, followed by Thai with 504 tonnes, down 7.7 percent, Lufthansa Cargo with 480 tonnes, down 5.5 percent, and Emirates with 459 tonnes and growing 15.7 percent, y-o-y.
Korean Air Lines Cargo was the only F Eastern carrier on the top-10 list with 379 tonnes, down 28 percent, as Singapore Airlines Cargo dropped from the list with a decline in volumes by 53.9 percent, y-o-y, to a mere 166 tonnes.
Counting increases alone, Martinair, #9 on the list, saw its volumes up by no less than 380 percent, to a total of 190 tonnes in February 2013.
