Apr 04, 2013 (newstodate): Slovakia's Bratislava Airport had another good year in 2012, setting a new record in cargo volumes.
A total of 22,563 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport in 2012, which was 9.9 percent above last year's levels that were also up 16 percent, y-o-y.
Driving the strong growth in international cargo was DHL's route from Brussels to Bratislava, operated by Swift Air, in addition to the company's regular service on the route from Leipzig via Bratislava to Sofia, in Bulgaria, served by European Air Transport.
