Mar 11, 2013 (newstodate): Lithuania's Kaunas Airport saw continued growth in air cargo volumes in February 2013.
A total of 134 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport - but the growth was solely due to mail shipments, up 11.4 percent, y-o-y, while air cargo shipments were down to a round "zero".
Cargo business at Kaunas Airport hinges solely on activities by the logistics company Hoptrans that brings in ex-China shipments on cargo charter flights.
This activity has been lying low in February, but is expected to grow again from this month.
