Mar 01, 2013 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo is encouraged by growth in e-bookings in the Nordic region through 2012.
-We have seen the proportion of e-bookings in the Danish market going up from 20 percent to 45 percent by the end of the year, marking a strong improvement, says Alexander Kohnen, Lufthansa Cargo Director for the Nordic and Baltic countries.
-In Sweden, e-bookings now account for 50 percent of all bookings, and in Finland the rate has grown to 60 percent.
-The weakest development is still seen in the Norwegian air cargo market, where e-bookings accounted for 35 percent by the end of 2012. But still the development has started there as well, going up from a weak 10 percent by the start of the year, says Mr Kohnen.
