Mar 19, 2013 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is determined to see its airports infrastructure up to international standards.
The country's minister of transportation has now decreed that all 18 airports in the country with commercial airline traffic will be modernized to meet ICAO standards by 2016 after completion of a comprehensive redevelopment program.
Also all 18 airports will be brought under a unified management to ensure optimization of resources and adherence to common standards.
