Mar 21, 2013 (newstodate): All financing issues have now been settled for modernization of Croatia's Zagreb Airport.
Among others, the EIB has decided to offer up to 120 mio euro as loans to support the project, managed by a consortium comprising Aeroports de Paris Management, Bouygues Batiment International and Croatia's Viadukt.
The consortium has landed a 30-year contract to manage and develop the airport which will include responsibility for the runways, the exising passenger terminal during the entire construction period, the new terminal to be constructed, the cargo terminal, car parks and future property developments.
The preliminary design for the new terminal has been completed, the main design is on track, and an application for a construction permit should be filed in April this year, while construction works for the new terminal is slated to start in September 2013.
