Feb 08, 2013: Two IATA forwarders accounted for almost half of Sweden's IATA export airfreight in December 2012.
As usual DHL Global Forwarding topped the list with 1,834 tonnes, corresponding to 26.2 percent of the market, while #2 was Geodis Wilson with 1,576 tonnes and 22.5 percent of the market.
DHL Global Forwarding was, however, down 26.2 percent, y-o-y, and Geodis Wilson dropped 17.4 percent.
The two companies were still conveniently ahead of the remaining eight Top-10 forwarders, with #3, Kuehne & Nagel generating 746 tonnes and holding 10.7 percent of the market after increasing its volumes by 32.7 percent, t-o-y.
Dropping the most was #6, Panalpina that saw volumes down in December by 60.5 percent to 253 tonnes, while entrant to list as #10 was CEVO Logistics with an increase in volumes by 107.6 percent to 130 tonnes.
In total, Sweden's IATA export airfreight market was down 19.1 percent, y-o-y, to 6,995 tonnes in December 2013.
